PICNIC ON THE PLATTE 2002!

No picnic would be complete without a picnic shelter.

Here is the result. Good job Gary!

The members that helped put on the Picnic lined thier cars up
in a row.

Lee McComb brought his old fire truck and provided rides. His
grandaughters already want to drive it.

There was a little time for relaxing before the event started.
I am guessing that this is just about as relaxed as you will ever see Lee
McComb (left) or Craig Paro (right).

But wait. Here are some more relaxers! (Recognize our past president?)

Cars from all over the state were parked in front of Grandma
Max's new restaurant.

More of the cars that attended.

Our fearless leaders - all dressed up? Good looking hats!

The Sieberts with thier new car.

A great flip top.

More cars and trucks!

Then supper was served... for free!

And it was tasty!

This is the cook, Steve Wolf's ride.

The Heffners look lost in front of Bonniville Bill's Mustang...

Here is thier favorite ride!

Fred and Pat Drummond in front of the '41 ford he has owned
since he was 16. Looking Good!

Our Treasurer Dan Graves best cruising buddy Joyce. Nice car
too.

Dave Hinrich checks under the hood. Now where is that spark
plug wrench?

The best part of cruising is meeting and greeting. The Weidners
look like they are ready to bend your ear.

The Buoys. Nice folks with a nice Thunderbird!

This flying chicken has lead many a Tour and is about to take another
ride...

Are you guys sure you're pulling? The chicken says faster.

Gene Church and his nice 1930 Model A Ford in black velvet primer.

Our leaders receive their reward for a job well done.

Mainstreet provided the music for dancing.

And as evening fell...

The band played on and we danced into the night.
Our thanks to NRCA member Chuck Bosselman and Bosselman's for
sponsorship of this event.
