Two $1,000 scholarships were awarded in April 2006 to graduating high school students who will attend a Nebraska Tech School in Automotive Technology or Auto Body. We had 16 great applications and 4 students were interviewed on April 8th. We had great candidates and there is a genuine need to support our youth with this program. NRCA selects scholarship winners based on who we believe will best utilize their education in these fields to become successful in these vocations and who will represent the Nebraska Rod and Custom scholarship program well within their communities.
NRCA has produced a DVD for the past years Tour Nebraska event with the help of volunteers. The proceeds from the sale of DVD has been earmarked to be used in the development of scholarships. The association also began holding an annual swap meet in 2005, with all of the proceeds being applied to the Scholarship Fund.
