1932 Ford Sedan

1932 Ford – 2-door – Gary Hedman – NRCA President – purchased in 1993 and completed in 2006 – all steel, and all body, paint work etc done by owner. Body is chopped 2” except for the rear window which was chopped 1”. Top was made from parts of 3 vehicles and then filled with a 1959 Ford station wagon ribbed top. Color is PPG Purple Velvet and the “Power Cat” is just a magnetic – joke. Front suspension is a Kugel stainless independent and the rear is a Duce Factory triangulated 4 bar. Drive train is a 383 Chevy, dyno’ed at 441 hp and 459 pounds of torque through a 200 4R transmission to a 9” Ford 3.25 rear end. It is a great combination of power and economy as 20 mpg is attainable with conservative driving. Exhaust is stainless and the wheels are original Halibrand. There are custom nerf bars front and rear with flames cut into them. Interior is light tan in a combination of real leather and a product used in private jets, called Isitleather. Interior also features custom stainless trim and owner built door handles. This is car built to drive –no radio yet – no air conditioning – no power windows – no power steering – no heater – just plenty of hot rod power a good horn for passing and great handling.
